Bookmarks Highlights and Signatures
Tap the bookmark button in the reader's bottom bar to bookmark the page you're on; tap it again to remove it. ••• > Bookmarks lists them; tap one to jump there, or delete it. Bookmarks are kept per document in the app, not written into the file.
- Long-press text and adjust the selection.
- Tap Highlight in the bar below the selection.
- Pick a color: yellow, green, blue, pink or red.
Highlights are saved per document and come back when you reopen the file.
••• > Highlights lists every highlight with its text, page and color. You can search them and filter by color. Tap one to jump to it; it pulses briefly so you can spot it.
The highlight strip at the bottom of the reader has previous and next buttons that walk through your highlights in reading order, wrapping around at both ends.
If a PDF already contains highlights, made by this app or another reader, they're listed too, searchable and part of the navigation. They're read only, since changing them would mean rewriting the document.
Your highlights live in the app until you choose otherwise. ••• > Save a copy with highlights writes them into a new PDF as real annotations, so they show up in other PDF readers. The original file isn't changed.
••• > Signature > New signature, then:
- Draw it with your finger,
- Type your name, which is shown in a handwriting style, or
- pick an Image of your signature.
Tap Place to put it on the page, then drag it where it belongs. You can place several. Signatures you make are kept under Your signatures for reuse; delete any you don't need.
The signature sheet lists the signatures on the current document. When you're done:
- Save into this file writes the signatures into the PDF itself, after asking you to confirm. This can't be undone.
- Save as a copy writes a signed copy wherever you choose, leaving the original as it was.
If a document was opened from another app as a copy, it can only be saved as a new file.
Until you save, placed signatures are remembered per document, so you can close the reader and finish later. Remove takes off a single signature; Remove all clears them.
The Sign PDF tool on the Tools tab picks a file and opens it in the reader with the signature sheet ready.
