| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
File access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_DOCUMENTS, or all-files access on Android 11 and newer) |
To find and open the PDFs on your device |
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and older) |
To save the results of the PDF tools |
INTERNET |
Only for checking for updates |
The only network access is the update check. It asks GitHub's public API for the latest release and its notes, and downloads the new APK if you choose to update. No personal data, device identifiers or usage information is sent. You can set the check to Never under Settings > Updates and check by hand instead.
Links you open from the app, such as GitHub or Crowdin, open in your browser.
The full policy is also available in the app under Settings > About > Privacy Policy.
