MMD - My Mobility Data 🚙

Welcome to the My Mobility Data (MMD) repository! This project is a personal initiative aimed at transforming a 20+ years old car into a state-of-the-art Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) enhanced vehicle. The journey involves exploring and implementing various technologies to bring cutting-edge mobility solutions to a classic automobile.

Goals

The primary goal of MMD is to retrofit an aging vehicle with autonomous driving capabilities. This ambitious project will leverage the latest advancements in AI, computer vision, and sensor technologies to create a safe and efficient self-driving experience.

  • Start off with basics. Display current car data no more than 1s delay.
  • Implement Computer Vision algorithms for real-time object detection.
  • Integrate AI-driven decision-making systems to enhance vehicle autonomy.
  • Incorporate sensor technologies such as LiDAR and radar for comprehensive environmental awareness.
  • Develop a user-friendly interface for manual and autonomous driving modes.

Milestones

  1. Project Initiation Define project scope and requirements. Set up the version control system and project structure.
  2. Research and Planning Conduct a comprehensive survey of existing self-driving technologies. Develop a detailed project plan with milestones and timelines.
  3. Sensor Integration Research and select appropriate LiDAR and radar sensors. Integrate selected sensors into the vehicle's architecture.
  4. Computer Vision Implementation Develop computer vision algorithms for object detection and tracking. Implement real-time processing of camera feeds.
  5. Autonomous Decision-Making Design and implement AI-driven decision-making systems. Integrate decision-making algorithms with the vehicle's control systems.
  6. User Interface Development Create an intuitive user interface for manual and autonomous driving modes. Implement controls for monitoring and interacting with the vehicle's systems.
  7. Testing and Iteration Conduct thorough testing of the autonomous driving features. Gather user feedback and iterate on the system for improvements.
