v0.6.2 「Cambria」
A Cambria patch for reading on phones: Sentence Reader gets a hold menu instead of a bottom toolbar, marks appear the moment you make them, broken tables of contents are repaired on open, and the end-of-book screen is reachable again.
New
- Hold menu in Sentence Reader on phones and tablets. The bottom toolbar is gone. Press and hold anywhere on the page to open the current sentence's actions right under your finger: highlight, underline, note, ask AI, copy and read aloud. Slide onto an action and lift to run it; lift in place to keep the row open for taps. Navigation, the sentence/paragraph switch, plugin lookups, table of contents, notes, appearance, chat and exit sit behind "more". Tapping the highlighted sentence opens the same menu. While the mode is on, a long press belongs to the menu rather than to text selection. A one-time tip introduces the gesture.
Improved
- Marks show up instantly. A new highlight or underline is drawn as soon as it is saved, instead of up to a second later, and books with many marks no longer repaint all of them for each new one.
Fixed
- Tables of contents that pointed every chapter at the cover. Some converted books (a Kindle-format Steve Jobs biography, for one) list every chapter but aim them all at the first page, so navigation landed on the cover, the current-chapter label was wrong and continuous scroll treated the whole book as one chapter. The reader now relocates such entries to the chapters that open with their titles.
- The end-of-book screen. Turning past the last page did nothing: on desktop the last-page check was off by one column, and on phones a swipe past the end never reached the app. Both paths now finish the book.
- Sentence menu on touch. Tapping the highlighted sentence opens its actions again (the previous release routed that tap to the next sentence).
- AI providers on custom ports. HTTP provider URLs with a non-default port are accepted (#31).
