First public release of KvmBridge: control a TESmart HKS0802A1U/HKS402-E23 over RS232 using an authenticated Windows HTTPS service, silent Mac launchers, and Stream Deck buttons.
Downloads:
- KvmBridge.exe — self-contained Windows x64 installer/service. Run as Administrator with
install --port COM5(choose your actual port) or--serial YOUR_FTDI_SERIAL. - KvmBridge-Windows-1.1.0.zip — the executable, documentation, optional SSH tools, button icons, and licenses.
- KvmBridge-Mac-1.1.0.zip — four credential-free silent apps, shell controls, a local client configurator, button icons, and documentation. Configure the exported client before use; see docs/mac.md.
- SHA256SUMS.txt — SHA-256 checksums for the downloads.
This release includes no API keys, server certificates, SSH keys, personal Stream Deck profiles, or deployment-specific addresses. Windows generates credentials during installation; Mac apps read them from local Application Support.
Validation: Windows and Mac controller self-tests, local HTTPS/serial simulator integration, generated curl clients, Mac connection-recovery tests, and PowerShell syntax checks. The underlying deployment was also tested with the real TESmart/Waveshare hardware. A full Windows reboot has not been tested. The Windows executable is unsigned and the Mac apps are locally signed, not notarized.
Status tracks unsolicited serial channel events; there is no verified independent hardware status query. Split-display routing and USB/keyboard focus are not supported. Read the protocol limitations before adapting this to other KVM models.
