AI Native Engineering is an official AI DevOS community and discipline for engineers building software in the AI era — the gathering place for AI-native software engineers.
This repository is the source-of-truth mirror of lab.aidevos.ai: the manifesto, the working principles, and the open resources of the community.
By April 2026, ~92% of US developers were using AI tools daily. AI crossed from novelty to infrastructure. The question stopped being will you use AI? and became:
What kind of engineer uses it?
AI Native Engineering is our answer: a craft and a community for engineers who become the architects, operators, and orchestrators of AI-native systems — and stay craftspeople through the shift. We build the answer in the open, with real work, alongside the people doing it.
An AI Native Engineer is a member of this community.

Open an issue, open a PR against a principle, or join the discussion. We build this discipline in the open and we do not delete dissent — the point is to find out what is actually true.
If you are an engineer working out what your craft becomes now that AI can write most of the code, this community is for you.
AI Native Engineering is an official initiative of AI DevOS, operated with heavy AI automation. Live site: lab.aidevos.ai.
Written in the open. Subject to revision as the discipline matures.
