Release v2.1.0: Agent-native trust and index recovery
Tree-sitter Analyzer 2.1.0 strengthens the agent-native trust boundary and makes large-project index repair faster and safer.
Added
- Agents can request an exact JSON Schema for every direct public facade action
throughaction=helpandtarget_action=<name>; bespoke routes fail closed
when no authoritative schema exists. Discovery also returns the canonical
five-step search, inspect, trace, assess, and verify workflow. search.symbolandnav.resolvenow return certified source evidence tied to
one index owner, and fail closed when the source or index changes during a query.- Change-impact responses now provide replay-safe verification descriptors. Five
executable E0 reference transcripts cover bug fixing, cross-file refactoring,
exact test selection, expected verification failure, and deprecated-call migration.
Changed
- Facades reject unsupported or misspelled action arguments with stable
INVALID_ARGUMENTdetails, allowed-argument lists, suggestions, and a recovery step. - Full-index method resolution builds project-wide uniqueness indexes once per
resolver snapshot, eliminating repeated project-wide method scans for each call edge.
Fixed
- Incremental saves now invalidate unique-method bindings when a same-named method is
added or removed, then restore the binding only when it becomes unambiguous again. - Weak cross-file guesses no longer overwrite stronger symbol bindings, arbitrary
candidate ties remain unresolved, and call-edge backfill matches the actual call site.
Validation
- Full 10-axis release matrix passed on Linux, Windows, and macOS with Python 3.10–3.13 where supported.
- Wheel and source distribution published to PyPI.
- Clean external install verified with
uvx --from tree-sitter-analyzer==2.1.0 tree-sitter-analyzer --version.
