- 233 formulas across 14 families, covering 2D and 3D fractals, flames, attractors, cellular automata, L-systems, and procedural patterns.
- Seed Fine Tune and saved seed animation, with timeline behavior, parameter motion, preview rendering, and reusable hearted seeds.
- Compose layers and animation, including compatible formula mixing, blend/opacity/key controls, camera segments, parameter keyframes, and preview intervals.
- Native GPU rendering and CPU fallback, manual render queues, output-size presets, and configurable resource budgets.
- Clip Studio for playback, trim, speed, ping-pong, animated effects, and export.

First launch
- Extract the ZIP, or put the standalone EXE in a writable folder.
- Launch
Fractalflow.exeand complete first-run setup. - Check Resources and start with a short, small render.
- Follow Explore → Fine tune → Heart → Compose → Save composition → Render → Videos.
The app includes .NET, so no separate .NET installation is needed. Procedural workspaces require WebView2 Evergreen. Video encoding uses FFmpeg, downloaded on demand or supplied separately; FFmpeg is not bundled in these downloads.
Requirements and practical limits
Windows x64, Windows 10 version 1809+ or Windows 11. Native GPU rendering needs a Direct3D 12-capable adapter. CPU rendering is available but may be slow for complex scenes and uses different lighting from HLSL.
Eligible procedural exports use verified GPU workers within the configured resource budget. History-dependent effects render in order. Large layered frames, high FPS, and retained PNG sequences increase memory, compute, and disk requirements. Begin with a short preview/export before a long job.
This is the first public preview, not a guarantee that every formula/effect/hardware combination has been tested. For a mismatch, compare the same timestamp and follow the Compose-to-Render checklist.
Keep your projects when updating
Close FractalFlow and replace the executable. Keep the existing data, output, and optional ffmpeg.exe. Back up the whole data folder together with referenced assets and the outputs you want to preserve.
