File	What it is
WebCacheAnalyzer-5.0.0-setup.exe	Installer (recommended). Installs for you alone with no administrator rights, or for every user of the PC when run as administrator. Adds a Start menu entry and an uninstaller; a desktop icon is optional.
WebCacheAnalyzer-5.0.0-portable.zip	Portable folder. Unzip anywhere (a USB stick, an examination share) and run WebCacheAnalyzer.exe. Case files stay in the folder.
WebCacheAnalyzer-5.0.0-portable.exe	Portable single file. Unpacks to %TEMP% on every launch, so it starts more slowly and writes to the machine's disk.
SHA256SUMS.txt	Checksums of the three files above.

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Nothing else to install.

The installed program keeps case files (tags and comments) in %LOCALAPPDATA%\WebCacheAnalyzer; uninstalling never deletes them. Nothing is ever written beside the evidence.

Silent install: WebCacheAnalyzer-5.0.0-setup.exe /VERYSILENT /CURRENTUSER (or /ALLUSERS from an elevated prompt).

These builds are not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC" on first run. Choose More info then Run anyway -- after checking the download against SHA256SUMS.txt:
