Text labels
The viewer now has a text tool next to the brush and the eraser.
- Type on the image. Pick the text tool and click where the label belongs — you type directly on the picture, at the zoom you are looking at it.
Enterplaces the label,Shift+Enterstarts another line,Escapediscards it. - Any size, any colour. While the text tool is active the toolbar shows a font-size slider with its value in image pixels, and both it and the colour picker preview live on the label you are typing.
- Restyle a label you already placed. Hover one of your own labels and it is outlined; click it to retype, recolour or resize it.
Ctrl+wheel over a label scales it in place without opening the editor. Clearing its text deletes it. - Readable over a busy map. Labels are drawn with a halo in the opposite tone.
Labels are shared exactly like strokes: they stream over the socket in real time, obey the Who can draw permission, are removed by Ctrl+Z and by both clear buttons, and are stored with the world. Positions and font sizes are kept relative to the image, so a label lands in the same spot for everyone whatever their screen size or zoom level.
Boards made with 1.0.0 load unchanged.
Compatibility: Foundry VTT v12–v14.
