Znote 4.7.0 — Znote for companies

This release opens Znote to teams. Until now, AI in Znote was a personal setup:
everyone brought their own key. Companies can now run it centrally, so every
employee gets AI in their notes without a key to hand out — and without anyone
losing sight of what it costs.

For companies

  • Sign in to your company's organisation. From the account button in the
bottom bar, sign in with your work email. Your company's AI becomes available
in the app right away — nothing to install, no key to configure.
  • A dedicated AI provider. Once signed in, your organisation shows up in the
AI provider selector as znote (Your company), alongside OpenAI, OpenRouter
and Ollama. Pick it and every AI feature — chat, @-context, tool calls,
transcription — runs through your company's setup.
  • Your provider is remembered. Znote comes back on your organisation after a
restart, instead of falling back to another provider.
  • Managed from the web. Administrators run their organisation from
    organisation.znote.io: allowed email domains,
seats, the models teams may use, and their own OpenAI key if they prefer to
pay their provider directly. AI usage is reported per member, so the cost is
    known before the invoice.

Improvements

  • Redesigned account popup: your organisation and email are readable at a
glance, long addresses no longer stretch the window, and it follows the light
    and dark themes.
  • Clearer AI provider selector, with a shortcut to the AI settings when no
    provider is configured yet.

Getting started

Individuals: nothing changes — keep using your own key (OpenAI, OpenRouter, or
100% local with Ollama).

Companies: create your organisation at
organisation.znote.io, invite a first team, and
see the real usage before deciding anything. Details on
znote.io/company.html.
