Highlights

  • Updates that get out of the way: the update button moves to the top right of the title bar with a subtle blink, new versions download in the background, and Pyzed Design restarts cleanly on Windows after updating.

Features

  • ✨ The update button sits in the title bar next to View, Help and Settings and blinks softly while it waits; the version found by the automatic check downloads in the background, the check runs again every 4 hours while the designer is open, a finished download is reused and old downloads are cleaned up. Fixes

  • 🐛 Restarting after an update on Windows no longer fails with 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'flush' or opens several console windows. PR #178 by @albakore.

Pyzed Design (the designer as a standalone app, uv included, that updates itself):

  • Windows: pyzed-design-windows-x86_64-setup.exe (installs for your user, no admin needed)
  • macOS: pyzed-design-macos-arm64.dmg or pyzed-design-macos-x86_64.dmg
  • Linux: curl -fsSL https://albakore.github.io/pyzed/install.sh | sh

The pyzed-design-*.zip files are the portable builds the app updates from. SHA256SUMS lists every checksum.
