Meross have sent me a couple of emails stating that HomeAssistant is spamming their cloud and are asking me to adjust the cloud polling interval.

Is this something I can amend as they have stated this must be < 200/hr

+1 I have also been receiving these mails since updating to 1.3.3. I had to disable the integration.

Meross have now terminated my account for the Meross Cloud IoT integration. Any thoughts Albert?

I got this mail, too. But my devices still work.
Although I really appreciate the work done here in this repo, I changed to the Meross LAN integration (using it with Meross Cloud). I think it's currently being maintained more actively and there are no errors in the logs and no mails from Meross, yet.

can you please list how device types and how many of them are you connecting to the HA integration?
Also, have you tried to configure the integration to rely on local http communication?

Hi, I have 30 devices but if I use the Middle option like you have all of my devices start switching off/on and go crazy...

I have same issue and I got same email.

Maybe the issue occurs when the device has a weak Wi-Fi signal, causing it to reconnect frequently, as shown in the logs?
Or if the user has a many devices? I have only 7 devices

@mohamad-askas Damn, I was hoping to put my one Meross device to use (which is a smart plug) with HA. It's funny that I'm getting these emails with only one device.

I hope things can be resolved. I hate throwing tech out.

@dondonini No, it's not resolved.
I had to disable some devices at first to reduce the total requests to the Meross server. But I finally had enough and threw out all 12 Meross devices I owned. They were unreliable, overpriced, and caused nothing but frustration. I switched to Ikea Trådfri 'Inspelning,' which supports Zigbee and costs way less. It’s a relief to finally have devices that actually work. I’ll never buy Meross again..

I really appreciate the work done in the repo here, however too many issues right now. The other one works flawlessly.

@z3ky Thanks for the suggestion! I actually tried this last year, and while it worked, maintaining it was challenging.
If I remember correctly, it relied on the device's IP address, so whenever there were changes like unplugging the device or restarting the router, I had to update the IP and adjust any automations that depended on it. I'd have to go through the entire IP list to find the correct address.
Even using a static IP is hard to manage with many devices on the network, especially when you can only see the device key (not the name), making it time consuming and prone to errors.

@mhdhamouday I use the integration with Meross Cloud, not in LAN mode. Maybe this is why I don't have to care about IPs. Device detection ran automatically and that's it. Maybe Cloud mode is new in the integration and worth to test.

@z3ky Ah, I see! I hadn't considered that. I'll give it a try to see if it makes any difference with the Meross server.
