0.4.3

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Aug 02:58

Reads moment off the global instead of the obsidian re-export. Where the moment package is not resolvable that import degrades to any without failing, which is what produced the type warnings on the directory's scan. No behaviour changes.

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Aug 02:46

Declares moment as a dependency — it was resolving by luck, and in an install that does not hoist it every date expression fell back to any, which is what the directory's scan reported. The repo now also runs the type-aware lint rules the directory runs. Verified on a phone: no view overflows, and every touch target measures 44 px.

Fixes what the community directory's automated review flagged on 0.4.0: the README's leftover screenshot placeholders, and all: unset on nine buttons, now one explicit reset. No behaviour changes.

Calendar Plus is now Periodic Calendar, and this release follows the rename: the integration looks the calendar up by its plugin id, so left alone the two would have quietly stopped finding each other.

If you use both, update them together. Also adds a contributing guide, pins js-yaml to the patched line, and moves to the lint ruleset the directory's scanner runs.

0.3.0

A selection now carries the lines its tasks hang off, and the agenda is set at the UI scale.

  • Move a whole block. Selecting a group's title along with its tasks — in the note, or by painting the rows in the agenda — moves the block whole, subtree included, instead of leaving an empty heading behind and dropping orphan tasks at the destination. Statuses, priorities, due dates and tags still go only to real tasks.
  • A compact agenda. The view inherited the size a note's body is read at; it now reads at the UI scale, with tighter rows and a smaller checkbox. Touch targets are unchanged.

Acting on several tasks at once

Select the task lines in a note the way you select any text — drag, Shift+arrow,
Cmd+drag separate ranges — then hover one of them. The popover says how many are
selected and every action in it applies to all of them: status, priority, due date,
tags, move. In the agenda the same thing works by dragging across the rows.

A task selected together with one of its ancestors is skipped (the ancestor's move
takes it along), the moves run bottom-up within a note so no line shifts under the
batch, and one notice reports how many arrived. Desktop only: selecting lines with
a finger fights scrolling.

"The next day" is measured from the task

A task in the daily note of the 11th moves to the 12th, whatever today is — the
gesture of reviewing a day that has passed. When that day is not today the button
says the date instead of "tomorrow". Due dates stay on the clock: a due date is a
promise about the calendar, not a position in the outline.

Mobile no longer opens the popover by itself

A touch browser makes up mouse events from a tap, so the popover used to appear
from taps aimed at the ⋮ button — twice at once — and from taps aimed at a
checkbox. The hover triggers are desktop-only now, and on the desktop hovering the
checkbox opens nothing either: it is the control you are reaching for.

The completion animation is gone

Three calibrations were enough to conclude that on a gesture repeated forty times a
day, feedback that lasts long enough to be seen is feedback that gets in the way.
The checkbox changing is the feedback.

Also

  • How the calendar shows tasks is a setting: background intensity (default) or
dots, for anyone who prefers the original Calendar's vocabulary.
  • A selection dragged onto a Calendar Plus day moves all of it.
  • The stats and footer cards are half the height, with labels that wrap instead of
    being cut to Curr….
  • The views react faster to a tick, and the tooltips now say when a day's
completions were closed in other notes — the figure that reads as a bug and
is not one: a day counts the work that closed in it, wherever that task lives.
