• Excluded the engineer agent from Codex via targets: — a mutator role is inoperable under Codex's read-only sandbox; dist/codex/agents/engineer.toml is no longer emitted.
• Created the missing scripts/build/preambles/platform.md so Codex and Gemini skills receive their documented platform preamble; a configured-but-missing preamble now fails the build loudly instead of being silently skipped.
• Restored base-content sections that Claude overlays were silently replacing: brainstorming-ideas failure-handling cases and the evolving-config thin-router audit step.
• Added Task to the reviewing-instructions Claude tool allowlist so its documented parallel-review workflow is reachable.
• Genericized vendor-specific tool names (GitNexus, codegraph, capital-B Bash, MCP server name-drop) in shared skill bases that compile to all targets.
• Made scripts/release/release-tag portable across BSD/GNU sed and added missing-version-file validation.
• Hardened hooks: git-guardrails skips invalid custom block patterns with a warning; skill-enforcer no longer feeds raw JSON into prompt matching; smart-lint verifies and executes the same project-config bytes (TOCTOU) and replaces bash-4-only globstar with find; worktree-remove passes paths to awk via ENVIRON; session-start git calls get a timeout; test-runner JVM test discovery is depth-bounded; smart-lint and test-runner hook timeouts raised to 120s.
• Build/validate hardening: validate_genericity.py now catches $1–$9 positional substitutions; plugin names are validated against path-unsafe characters; overlay parsing accepts GFM longer closing fences; missing SKILL.md fails with a named error; missing marketplace owner warns at generation time; markdownlint no longer scans .pi-subagents/ artifacts.
• Frontmatter consistency: writing-* Claude skills gained Edit/Write/LS; refactoring-code gained Edit as a fallback to the MCP editor; looking-up-docs is now user-invocable; spec-flow no longer pins model: sonnet; the Gemini reviewer allowlist gained list_directory.
• Removed the stale docs/instruction-lint-rules.md entry from the CONTRIBUTING repository layout.
