First public release.

TypeCue is a macOS menu bar app that types your script into any app - one block per hotkey press, as real system-level keystrokes, at a human pace. Write your demo as ordered blocks; during the take, press the global hotkey (default Ctrl+Option+X) and the next block types into whatever field has focus.

Install: download TypeCue.dmg below, drag TypeCue to Applications, and grant Accessibility when asked (onboarding includes a Test Pad to verify it). Signed and notarized; macOS 14+.

Highlights

  • Real keystrokes with a human rhythm - works in any app, any language and keyboard layout, RTL included
  • Inline pacing markers in your script: [0.5] pauses, [speed:40] tempo shifts, [enter] to submit
  • Floating teleprompter panel that shows every block and its state without stealing focus
  • Menu bar caret that appears exactly when a script is armed
  • An agent surface for AI tools: plain-JSON scripts, typecue:// commands, a state.json session mirror, and a ready-made skill at typecue.app/skill.md
