@alfonsosiloniz alfonsosiloniz released this 05 Mar 21:56

Now this version is able to process

  • FPL files for MSFS and generate the scenery objects in library
  • KML Files. Just define a KML file with Placemarks and it will generate the scenery objects in library

You can define in the fpl2scn.config file the library objects that will be used and the KEYs to use when creating the FPL/KML files. Just use the KEYS as part of your points and then, the tool will use the object GUI defined in the conf file

v0.9.1

@alfonsosiloniz alfonsosiloniz released this 29 Feb 19:04

This release does not need the MSFS compiler anymore. It generates the package for MSFS directly.

Uncompress the zip file in any directory of your convenience. Then you can just drag and drop the MSFS Flight Plan (generated by tools as PlanG or Little Nav Map) to the FPL2SCN.exe file and it will generate a MSFS_Package folder with the generated scenario.

Then just copy the folder under MSFS_Package called aquilon-visualpoints to your Community Folder

Requirement

The tool will look for User waypoints in the FlightPlan that start with Cx where x is a number between 0 and 8. Each number is a different object in MSFS. We recommend you start with C6. Then , be sure you name your waypoints in the FlightPlan as follows

C6 NewYork

You can edit your Flightplan file with a Notepad and add C6 to any User waypoint

First release.

You need to install .NET 8.0 Runtime environment for this executable to work

Uncompress the .zip file in one folder. Open a Command Line environment and go to the folder. Execute

$ FPL2SCN -i input_file.fpl

This will generate an xml file under SceneryProject that can be built using the MSFS SDK from the same folder with

$ & 'C:\MSFS SDK\Tools\bin\fspackagetool.exe' .\SceneryProject\visualpoints\visualpoints.xml

Finally, copy the folder aquilon-visualpoints under SceneryProject\visualpoints\Packages to your Community folder
