alforria v0.3.0

This release adds DeepSeek-specific prompting and closes a few session and
server edge cases found in real use.

Added

  • A DeepSeek prompt family in the core prompt catalog, with tool guidance for
    DeepSeek models.
  • Read-before-write guards for file edits, so an existing file must be read in
the session before edit or write changes it.

Fixed

  • The DeepSeek image placeholder is neutralized for DeepSeek models instead of
being sent to the provider as content.
  • An oversized buffered server response is no longer emptied before it is
    returned to the client.
  • Abandoned permission and question requests are cleared from clients, and
    replies resolve across loaded instances.

Install

Linux, macOS, and WSL:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/alforria-ai/alforria/main/packaging/install.sh | sh

From source:

cargo install --git https://github.com/alforria-ai/alforria --tag v0.3.0 --bin alforria

alforria v0.2.0

@moshemalawach moshemalawach released this 13 Oct 06:10

alforria v0.2.0 — the embedded web UI, a hardened server, and a TUI parity push.

Web UI (alforria serve)

  • The web client is rebuilt in-tree (SolidJS) and embedded in the binary: multi-pane desktop grid, session queue, worktrees, review comments on diffs, fork/export/step-through on messages, prompt history and surviving drafts, ! shell commands, reasoning-variant picker, model/MCP/LSP status per directory, archived sessions, and a first-run connect-a-provider flow.
  • Accessibility pass (axe-core: zero violations), 40px phone targets, AA light theme, keyboard-only operation everywhere.
  • End-to-end suite (bun run e2e) and fleet-scale tests run against the real server.

Security

  • Plain alforria (and libertai code) now run their server in-process, with no TCP listener — previously an unauthenticated loopback port was bound for the TUI.
  • alforria serve gets a password by default; only loopback names, the server's own origin and --cors reach it.
  • PTY websockets refuse foreign origins; cross-site writes are refused; the desktop URL handler only opens plain web URLs; the LibertAI loopback ignores forged redirects and bounds slow senders.

TUI

  • Markdown reply parity (list markers, quote borders, hanging wrap), prompt-bar parity, dialogs that own the keyboard, custom themes (themes/*.json) probed from the real terminal palette, tui.json config like TS.
  • Transcript rendering moved to a per-part cache (draws only what shows); session list searches the server; @ mentions find files and MCP resources with line ranges.
  • Mouse text selection with copy on release; copy also travels over OSC 52 (works over SSH); Sign in with LibertAI runs the browser flow in the TUI.

Session / provider

  • Provider failures map to ai-sdk's APIError and retry like TS, including reqwest transport failures.
  • file.edited published; step-finish waits for forked tools; credentials reach open instances.
  • Built-in LibertAI models no longer carry a fabricated release date.

Platform

  • Windows: TUI signal handling and the shell kill ladder are properly cfg-gated.
  • Windows: git is found again — which git looked for git and missed git.exe, disabling every git-backed feature (project resolution, worktrees, diffs).
  • Windows: session events reach wire clients again — directory strings are now normalized (no \\?\\ verbatim prefixes) on both the publish and subscribe sides; previously every SSE subscriber filtered out all session events and run/attach hung forever.
  • Windows session-move subdirectories no longer come out as full paths (relative walks verbatim vs plain components).
  • Tests are hermetic (XDG paths, canonicalized e2e dirs) and deflaked.
