First release. A local-first Windows markdown editor — open a .md file, edit it, save it. No accounts, no cloud, no sync, no tracking.

Downloads

  • Simplest Markdown_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe — installer. Adds a Start-menu entry and an uninstaller. Recommended.
  • simplest-markdown.exe — portable single executable. Nothing to install.

Windows 10/11 only. Both need the WebView2 runtime, which ships with Windows 10 and 11.

The executables are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen will show "Windows protected your PC" on first run. Click More info → Run anyway.
