First public release.

ezDPI is a macOS menu bar app that bypasses DPI-based blocking. It bundles
SpoofDPI as its engine and adds rule-based
automation, a plain-language interface, diagnostics and crash-safe proxy handling.

What's in it

  • Rules — run while an app is open, on a certain network, or during set hours. Reacts to app launch/quit instantly, no polling.
  • Your own sites — type example.com, subdomains are covered automatically. Add sites straight from the menu bar.
  • Three methods, not knobs — Standard / Alternative 1 / Alternative 2. Raw split-mode and chunk-size live under advanced settings.
  • Test tab — checks each address directly and through the proxy, then says which one it is in plain language.
  • Crash-safe — the previous proxy configuration is written to disk before any change and restored on quit, crash or SIGTERM. A killed app can't leave your machine pointing at a dead port.
  • Relaunch with ezDPI — for apps like the Discord updater that read https_proxy only at launch and ignore the system proxy.
  • URL scheme — ezdpi://on, ezdpi://off, ezdpi://auto, ezdpi://relaunch?bundle=<id>.
  • English and Turkish interface.

Install

Download ezDPI-0.1.0.zip, unzip, drag ezDPI.app to /Applications.

This build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so macOS blocks it on first launch. Either right-click the app → Open → Open, or run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ezDPI.app

Requirements

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, Apple Silicon. The bundled engine is arm64 only.

Known limits

  • Not notarized yet.
  • No universal (Intel) build.
  • Reading a Wi-Fi network name needs Location permission on macOS 14+.
  • No "turn on when I visit a listed site" trigger yet — a PAC-based approach is planned.

İlk genel sürüm. ezDPI, DPI engellemesini aşan bir macOS menü çubuğu uygulamasıdır. Motor olarak SpoofDPI'yi paketler; üstüne kural tabanlı otomasyon, sade bir arayüz, teşhis sekmesi ve çökmeye dayanıklı proxy yönetimi ekler.

  • Kurallar — bir uygulama açıkken, belirli bir ağdayken ya da belirli saatlerde çalışır. Uygulama açılışına anında tepki verir.
  • Kendi sitelerin — ornek.com yazarsın, alt alan adları kendiliğinden kapsanır.
  • Üç yöntem — Standart / Alternatif 1 / Alternatif 2. Ham değerler gelişmiş ayarlarda.

Kurulum: ezDPI-0.1.0.zip dosyasını indir, aç, ezDPI.app dosyasını /Applications klasörüne sürükle. Paket geçici imzalı olduğu için macOS ilk açılışta engeller: uygulamaya sağ tıkla → Aç → yine Aç, ya da yukarıdaki xattr komutunu çalıştır.

Gereksinim: macOS 14+ ve Apple Silicon.
