我做它的原因很简单：我经常让 Codex 跑比较长的任务，但我不想一直坐在那里盯着任务有没有结束。
Codex Bell 是一个轻量的 macOS Codex 伴侣工具。它可以停靠在屏幕左侧或右侧，在任务完成、失败、中断或出现可识别的需要处理状态时，通过提示音、语音和系统通知提醒你。

安装
下载本 Release 中的 Codex-Bell-macOS-v1.0.0.zip，解压后将 Codex Bell.app 放入 Applications。
签名状态： 使用 hardened runtime 的本地 ad-hoc 签名；未使用 Apple Developer ID，未经过 Apple 公证。
macOS 可能会阻止首次启动。请先按住 Control 点击应用并选择「打开」，或到「系统设置 → 隐私与安全性」选择「仍要打开」。不要关闭 Gatekeeper，也不要运行来源不明的 xattr 命令。源码已在本仓库公开，可选择自行构建。
系统支持： macOS 14 Sonoma 或更高版本
架构： Apple silicon（arm64）；未提供 Intel 构建
已验证 Codex： codex-cli 0.153.0-alpha.5
隐私
Codex Bell 的任务状态集成只处理有限的生命周期信号，不会为了 UI 持久化你的完整 Prompt、完整回复、源码正文、Tool 结果、私有 URL、绝对项目路径或 Token。

This is the first public release of Codex Bell.
I built it for one simple reason: I often let Codex run longer tasks, but I don't want to sit there checking whether a task has finished.
Codex Bell is a lightweight macOS companion for Codex. It docks to the left or right edge of your screen and can alert you with a chime, voice announcement, and system notification when a task completes, fails, is interrupted, or enters another recognizable attention state.

Install
Download Codex-Bell-macOS-v1.0.0.zip from this Release, unzip it, and move Codex Bell.app into Applications.
Signing status: Local ad-hoc signature with hardened runtime; not signed with an Apple Developer ID and NOT NOTARIZED.
macOS may block the first launch. First try Control-clicking the app and choosing Open, or use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Do not disable Gatekeeper or run untrusted xattr commands. The complete source is available in this repository if you prefer to build it yourself.

Privacy
Codex Bell's task integration is designed to process limited lifecycle signals. It does not persist your full prompts, full responses, source-code bodies, tool results, private URLs, absolute project paths, or tokens just to render task status.
