Klipp 0.3.0
Download Klipp-Setup.exe, run it, done. Already have Klipp? It offers this update itself.
Windows may say it protected your PC, because the installer isn't signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. Signed builds are coming.
New
- AMD and Intel graphics. Klipp now records with AMD (AMF) and Intel (Quick Sync) as well as NVIDIA, including the graphics built into most processors. Gaming laptops whose screen runs on the built-in chip can record now too. Setup tests your PC and picks AV1 where the chip has it, else H.264.
- Windows 10, without the yellow border. On Windows 10, Klipp records the screen another way, so Windows no longer draws a yellow frame around it while recording.
- Indicators on top of your game (Settings → General → On screen, off until you turn them on). "Auto-clips ON" when a CS2 match starts, and a small mark when a clip saves or can't be saved. They're a separate window: never in your clips, never taking focus from the game, never touching it.
- Choose which screen to record, in Settings → Video, when you have more than one.
- Setup asks which drive to save clips on and makes the Klipp folder there.
Changed
- The save sound stays out of your clips by itself, whichever device it plays on. With SteelSeries Sonar, Voicemeeter or another audio mixer, keep playing it on your headset.
- Updates install quietly. No installer window: the update card shows the progress and Klipp reopens on the new version. (This update still shows it once; from here on it's quiet.)
- Klipp looks after its recording. If the video stops, after a screen change or a graphics driver reset, Klipp restarts it on its own, and the sidebar says when your PC can't keep up. If the recorder stops while the Klipp window is open, it starts again.
- The thanks for the sounds moved to Settings → Sounds.
Fixed
- The first letter of a clip card's text is no longer cut off at the card's rounded corner.
- Setup's audio step lines up again.
