Engineering candidate (pre-alpha channel)

This is a signed pre-alpha build from current development source. It is not an advertised or supported successor to stable v0.2.1, does not replace GitHub Latest, and does not widen the stable support matrix.

Changes to test

  • Exact OMP v18.1.14 integration: refreshed standalone controller/publisher patch, pinned browser source and wire package, native hashes, and Bun 1.4.0 toolchain.
  • Native MathML formula rendering without KaTeX fonts, stylesheets, third-party runtime assets, or a weaker CSP.
  • Transcript tail recovery when a collaboration connection returns live; existing View, Ask, and photo-composer boundaries remain intact.
  • Complete changes and source-level verification are recorded in CHANGELOG.md and docs/RELEASE_STATUS.md at this commit. Historical platform evidence does not transfer.

Required OMP prerequisite

Run OMP v18.1.14 at daf07999c2fee9b22edc7bf8fea1fb6272e0df5e with the exact patch included in this archive. Stock OMP is not sufficient. Use the versioned omp-gateway-patched route; paired packaging remains deferred.

Qualification boundary

  • Source commit: 2c89d82
  • Runtime: Bun 1.4.0; registry protocol 1; Push API 2.
  • Debian 13 x86-64, macOS 26.6.1 arm64 (Mac14,3), and Chrome on the physical Pixel must pass against these exact signed bytes before stable promotion.
  • The Chrome process-wide network wedge remains a disclosed environment limitation; Windows, background Push qualification, Portal Tunnel, and self-hosted/proxied relays remain outside the stable core claim.

Rollback

Run bun apps/gateway/src/cli.js rollback when the predecessor is present in managed installation history. Otherwise reinstall the selected predecessor archive with its matching OMP prerequisite. Gateway rollback does not switch the separately installed OMP executable.

Supply the deployment's origin and allowlist on install and upgrade. Upgrades retain hostname, omitted port, identity-trust, and registry settings; unchanged configuration bytes are not rewritten.
