v0.4.2
Full Changelog: v0.4.1...v0.4.2
v0.1.0
mind-forge (mf) is a local-first, AI-native CLI for card-based writing. It treats your knowledge base as a codebase — articles are assembled from composable Blocks, all state lives in plain files on disk, and the CLI is designed so both humans and Agents can drive it.
This is the first release, achieving full feature parity with the Python mind tool and adding several mf-unique capabilities.
Highlights
mind 0.3.0 Parity
Reads and writes mind 0.3.0 YAML format (schema: "1"). Repos move freely between mf and other mind-compatible tools. Tolerates older schema_version and list-based shapes on read.
Project Lifecycle
mf project new | list | status | lint | index | archive | rename | import | show — full project management from scaffolding to archival.
Article Management
Create directory articles (default) or single-file articles (--file). Built-in templates (blank, arch, prd, blog) plus custom project-local templates. Full indexing, listing, linting, and renaming support.
Composable Content via Blocks
Blocks are atomic, reusable content units assembled into articles. Capture once, compose many times without copy-paste drift.
Sources & Assets
Track external references (web, pdf, rss, file) and binary assets per project. Full CRUD + index + clean operations.
Glossary
mf term new | list | show | lint | fix | learn for managing a shared vocabulary across your knowledge base.
Build System
Config-driven article assembly with directory-article merging, --dry-run preview, and @path/-style article addressing.
Publishing
mf publish run | update against per-target publishers (local, yuque-prompt, …). Repo-wide mf publisher list for overview.
Render — AI-Native HTML Generation
mf render <article> emits an Agent-facing prompt (not HTML) for LLM-driven rendering. Built-in report and paper templates, plus custom templates under .mind-forge/renders/.
AI Native CLI Design
Every command outputs text by default and { status, command, data } JSON envelopes with --json. Stable exit codes. No interactive prompts. Designed as a reliable API for both shell pipelines and LLM agents.
Dual-Format Terms
Schema-tagged repository terms alongside legacy format support, with automatic format detection on read.
