Title.
Mail Plugin is installed, not sure if my logged in mail account needs to be my iCloud account, but it is currently not. My apple ID is typed correctly, I am NOT using an app-specific password. What should I do?

Maybe Keychain related? No idea, but I'm on the same camp. I ensured I was using the same email address as my Apple ID (I normally use one of the aliases), but it didn't work. Changed my Apple ID password (it cleared app-specific passwords), still didn't work. Re-installed plugin, didn't work. Re-installed AltSore, didn't work. I've run out of ideas.

It just happened to me and I'm on a clean install of Catalina. I remember it working a couple of months ago on Mojave, so the OS version may be the issue?

So, wait, It just stopped working again for you? Because, two days ago, you said this on a different issue:

Was in this camp too. Had to change my Apple ID password (that erased all the app-specific passwords), and it worked. It seems that, for some reason, macOS ties the app with the app-specific password and that prevents from correctly signing-in.

What has changed on your system since? Could you try to track down the issue?

I’m having this same problem on Mojave. The mail plugin is installed and the only account I have enabled is my iCloud.

Same here. Just tried it on two different MacBooks, even went on ahead and tried creating new Admin-accounts on both of them, always the same results. It sends the 2FA-code to my phone, I enter it in the AltServer-prompt and shortly after, this error occurs :-/

I add the same yesterday. Have you try to install "manually" the mail plug-in ? You just copy the mail plug-in folder in the Altserver app and put that in /library/Mail/bundle. Then you go in the Mail app - > preferences - > bundle and you accept that Mail use this plug-in.

No I still get the original issue afterward. But first I was having exactly the freezing issue with the installation of the plug-in

This started happening to me after upgrading to iOS 13.2.3, macOS version 10.14.6 (mojave) so I don't think catalina is the issue.

Then that's a different issue, I suppose. The plugin does get installed and loaded, at least for me.
