Warp v1.2.0
Parallel Transfer Engine
Warp can now copy and move large multi-folder jobs with several robocopy workers running side by side.
- Parallel workers — pick Auto (chosen from drive types: local 6 / network 3 / USB 2) or force 2–8 in Options
- Safe sharding — each worker owns a disjoint source folder; conflicts are impossible by construction; dominant folders are recursively split so one huge directory can't serialize the job
- Pause / Resume — pause stops dispatching new folders and finishes active ones; resume continues where it left off
- Auto-retry — failed folders re-run sequentially up to twice; only missing or locked files are re-copied, and recovered counts show in results
- Live aggregate progress — merged speed, %, bytes, and per-folder counters across all workers
Sync (mirror) and throttled transfers intentionally stay single-process for correctness and cap accuracy.
Also in this release
- Closing Warp mid-transfer now always cancels robocopy — no more orphaned copies (Alt+F4 included)
- Failed update downloads now show a clear error instead of silently stalling
- Stricter CSP (no
unsafe-inlinestyles) + type cleanup across the frontend - Cancel is race-safe against immediately starting a new transfer
Verified
39 Rust tests (incl. real-robocopy concurrent shard integration), 25 frontend tests, svelte-check clean.
Perf smoke on NVMe (9,000 files / 141 MB): 1.7–1.8x faster than single-process robocopy /MT:32.
