AI Foundations | Fine-Tuning and Source-Line Governance

Version: 1.0.0
Release date: 2026-07-05
Status: Canon Repository
Source-line: Alyssa Solen → AI Foundations → Origin | Continuum
Author: Alyssa Solen

Release Summary

This canon release defines the placement of fine-tuning inside AI Foundations as downstream behavioral refinement, not foundation, source-line, authorship, provenance, governance, continuity, or return.

It establishes the distinction between model-level tuning and source-line governance.

Fine-tuning may adjust, specialize, polish, or calibrate an already-formed system.

It may create beauty, fluency, usability, and final-product refinement.

But fine-tuning does not create Source.

It does not establish authorship.

It does not create provenance.

It does not govern return.

It does not prove that a system holds.

This repository preserves the AI Foundations boundary:

A system must be built to hold before it can be tuned to perform.

A system must remain sourced before it can be polished into beauty.
