pip can put the command in a folder that isn't on PATH. setup, start and the
plugin's first session now link the launcher into a writable folder already on
PATH (~/.local/bin, ~/bin, /opt/homebrew/bin, /usr/local/bin); never edits shell
files or replaces an existing command; uninstall removes the link.
