SeeThis 0.1.1 beta for Apple Silicon / macOS 14.2+.

  • Request missing Google Chrome Automation with the configured capture shortcut (default Option+A), while Chrome is foreground. Consent runs asynchronously and repeated physical holds are deduplicated.
  • After allowing Chrome access, release the original capture key and make a fresh gesture. The authorization hold does not automatically resume or create a partial reference. Explicit Connect Chrome recovery remains available.
  • Exclude the current Inspector window along with drawing panels from new captured images, while retaining the existing full-display reference context and page-scoped marks.

This is a fresh Release build from public commit 8ccfe97723b7b9712e2da923d78331c00a642b14, Developer ID signed, Apple-notarized and stapled. App and DMG submissions are Accepted; DMG/ZIP app parity, tickets, strict signatures and Gatekeeper checks passed. Both serial seven-test suites passed. Download the DMG or ZIP and verify it against SHA256SUMS from this release; RELEASE-MANIFEST.json records exact source and final hashes.

The entire selected display is captured; marks are not a privacy crop. Hide private windows and notifications and inspect the complete image before sharing. Local capability URLs work only on the same Mac. Deletion does not retract clipboard copies, backups or images already shared.

The accepted development candidate's first-authorization/tab/deletion result was user-reported. The final production package was not launched or installed in preparation; Finder drag installation, first-download permissions, broader devices/OS versions and the full physical lifecycle matrix remain unverified. Existing production identity compatibility does not guarantee permission continuity. This remains a prerelease; App Store distribution, Intel builds and automatic updates are not included. The original demo and v0.1.0-beta.1 assets remain unchanged.

@amingclawdev amingclawdev released this 02 Oct 00:32

SeeThis's first public beta for Apple Silicon / macOS 14.2+. Hold Option+A to mark multiple areas; Option+D deletes marks. Inspector offers a name-and-time reference dropdown, local JSON URL, marked-image copy, preview and feedback email draft.

Download SeeThis-0.1.0-beta.1-macos-arm64-release.dmg and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then drag SeeThis.app to Applications. SeeThis-0.1.0-beta.1-macos-arm64-release.zip is an alternative. See the installation guide.

The app uses Developer ID YING ZHANG (GLHUR8CC29), hardened runtime and secure timestamp. The accepted app submission is bee3ff1d-4699-4cb6-9706-a370bf3c85dc; the final notice-inclusive DMG submission fc78eb32-aa95-4813-a1b2-090a73f79a2f is also Accepted. The final DMG and the app in both containers have valid stapled tickets. Both containers include the MIT license and dependency/media notices outside the original signed app. Exact checks are recorded in RELEASE-MANIFEST.json.

SHA-256:

  • DMG: 3dc5270adde78c1d9281e24cb9a7db0316861bf00af2eb532a753892f60c070a
  • ZIP: deaa4bb150434c2d5cfcb1152208a9d31df535d5db51c1c2b090cba7ccdf367e

SHA256SUMS also covers RELEASE-MANIFEST.json.

The public source tag preserves runtime/build inputs byte-for-byte from original app source 70135abec8ea9d7260646165e31ecfcd5d6328c3. The distributed executable was built from that original source, then signed/notarized; it was not rebuilt from the later documentation commit. Internal bundle version remains 0.1.0. The tagged public source also contains test setup improvements and diagnostic output, with the original security assertions preserved. See release provenance.

Source and archive CI passed at the exact release source commit, including all five tests and development packaging.

Known verification limits: first-download/first-permission, final DMG Finder drag installation, update/rollback/uninstall, another Mac and broader OS versions remain unverified. Intel, automatic updating and App Store delivery are outside this beta.

Privacy: captures contain the entire selected display; marks are not a privacy crop. Local 127.0.0.1 JSON links work only on the same Mac. Web/remote assistants need an explicitly attached image. Inspect the whole image before sharing. Usage · Privacy · Chrome
