winvda 0.1.0

Hardened, zero-cached-state Virtual Desktop management engine for Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Features

  • Zero-Cached-State Architecture: Call-scoped transient MTA COM invocation (< 0.02 ms) eliminating ALPC proxy corruption across explorer.exe restarts.
  • Task View Parity Application Pinning: Normalizes modern ~Wh~ sub-AUMIDs to properly pin multi-window applications (Windows Terminal, VS Code, Slack).
  • Stateless Domain Models: Frozen immutable dataclasses (VirtualDesktop, WindowView) holding zero COM pointers for safe cross-apartment and cross-thread operations.
  • Zero External Dependencies: Pure standard library implementation using ctypes.
  • Automation CLI: Diagnostic and automation command-line interface supporting window handle, foreground, and delayed targeting.
  • Typing Compliance: Includes PEP 561 py.typed marker for mypy and pyright integration.

Compatibility

  • Windows 10 (Builds 19041 - 20230)
  • Windows 11 21H2 (Build 22000)
  • Windows 11 22H2 (Build 22621)
  • Windows 11 23H2 (Build 22631)
  • Windows 11 24H2 / Canary (Build 26100+)
