Installation

Windows:

• MSI Installer: Extract ZIP and run the MSI installer for automatic setup
• Portable: Extract ZIP and run install.bat or manually add to PATH

Linux/macOS:

# Download and extract
tar -xzf compresscli-*.tar.gz
cd compresscli-*

# Install
./install.sh

# Setup shell completion (optional)
./setup-completions.sh

Quick Start

# Compress video with medium preset
compresscli video input.mp4

# Compress image with web preset
compresscli image photo.jpg --preset web

# Batch process directory
compresscli batch ./videos --videos --preset medium

# Show help
compresscli --help

Requirements

• FFmpeg: Required for video processing
  • Windows: winget install -e --id Gyan.FFmpeg.Essentials
  • Linux: sudo apt install ffmpeg (Ubuntu/Debian)
  • macOS: brew install ffmpeg
