A big update since 1.0.1:

• Video wallpaper (Settings > Wallpaper > Video): pick one or several places, from Apple's aerial videos and free stock videos of European countries. When the dock slides away (Down arrow), the screen becomes an aerial view: date, time and weather bottom left, the place and a description bottom right.
• Appearance: Dark (default), Light or Auto, also in the Control Center. Frosted, see-through dock and Settings.
• Hide the dock with Down or after idle; Apple-style clock; nine languages; 12/24-hour option.
• Weather: choose a country and city (about 180 cities).
• Much smoother: row changes, Settings, and the first seconds after launch; less memory in the background.
• All apps shown, sharper icons, new icon and launch screen.
  Videos stream from the internet (about 2-3 GB per hour) and can take a few seconds to start.

• Video wallpaper: 14 places (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Germany, Czechia, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden) plus Apple's aerial videos; pick several at once in Settings > Wallpaper > Video. LG's screensaver is held off while it plays (needs the TV-side watcher).
• Appearance: Light, Dark or Auto, in Settings and the Control Center. Frosted, see-through dock and Settings.
• Smoother: moving to the second row over a video, switching Settings tabs, and the first seconds after launch.
• Weather: choose a country, then a city (about 180 cities).

Lumen 1.0.7

Changes since 1.0.2:

• Video wallpaper fixed (it was playing but hidden, and the clip list was empty). It now lives in Settings > Wallpaper > Video: shuffle all places or pick one.
• See-through glass for the dock and panels over the video.
• Dark mode: Off / On / Auto (7 pm to 6 am), in Settings > Options and in the Control Center, which also has a Clock tile.
• New app icon and launch screen.
• Clock option (Auto / 12-hour / 24-hour) and a language switcher (9 languages).
• Uses less memory while another app is on screen: wallpaper pictures and the video are released after 5 seconds.
  Note: the video wallpaper streams from Apple's servers (about 2-3 GB per hour) and can take a few seconds to start.

Lumen 1.0.2

New: clock option (Auto / 12-hour / 24-hour) and a language switcher (English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Nederlands, Türkçe, हिन्दी) in Settings > Options. Long option descriptions stay English.

Lumen 1.0.1

Lumen 1.0.1: fixes from the first round of feedback (thanks, LG C2 user!).

• All installed apps are listed. Settings > Apps now shows every app on the TV, not only a short built-in list, and a fresh install puts your installed apps on the home screen.
• Sharper app icons. Small square icons are no longer stretched over the wide tiles: they are drawn at a sharp size on a tile coloured like the icon.
• Lighter panels. Control Center, Inputs and the other panels open without the animation over the glass, and the glass no longer repaints the whole screen; the TV's values are read just after the panel appears.
• Smoother dock. The focused tile no longer needs a clip layer for its rounded corners, held remote keys are rate-limited, and tile pictures decode in the background.

Install: download com.ammar027.lumen_1.0.1_all.ipk below, then use Dev Manager Desktop (add your TV, open Apps, drop the file in) or ares-install --device lgtv com.ammar027.lumen_1.0.1_all.ipk. Installing over 1.0.0 keeps your settings.

Needs the Homebrew Channel for the live app list and the Control Center actions. Tested on an LG 65UQ8040PSB (webOS 22). Third-party app logos are not included, and the bundled wallpapers are public-domain paintings (Cleveland Museum of Art, CC0).

If it is still laggy or an app is missing on your TV, please open an issue with your TV model.

Lumen 1.0.0

Lumen 1.0.0: a tvOS-style home screen for rooted LG webOS TVs.

Install: download com.ammar027.lumen_1.0.0_all.ipk below, then use Dev Manager Desktop (add your TV, open Apps, drop the file in) or ares-install --device lgtv com.ammar027.lumen_1.0.0_all.ipk. Lumen then appears in the app list. Optional: TV scripts make the remote's Home button open it.

Needs: an LG webOS TV with the Homebrew Channel (several features use its root service: live app list, screen off, restart, picture mode, the Home-button takeover). Developed and tested on an LG 65UQ8040PSB (webOS 22); other models and versions are untested.

What's in this build: glass dock, Recent row, folders, hold-OK to move/remove/add to folder, wallpaper library with favourites, Control Center (sound mode, picture, sleep timer, screensaver time, LG Home, Settings, Art mode, screen off, restart, volume), date and weather, Settings.
Third-party app logos are left out (apps without an icon get a plain tile) and the bundled wallpapers are five public-domain paintings (Cleveland Museum of Art, CC0).

Early release: expect rough edges. Bug reports are welcome in Issues.
