First public release of Data Footprints

Data Footprints is a researcher-level analytical workflow and Streamlit application for tracing dataset citation pathways using the OpenAIRE Graph and the OpenAIRE MCP connector powered by Alien Intelligence.

This release includes the application source code, Windows and macOS/Linux launchers, researcher-level dataset discovery and validation, conservative record reconciliation, incoming citation retrieval through OpenAIRE Graph API V3, creator–author comparison, the interactive network and evidence profile, and the hackathon story with supporting figures.

Requirements: Python 3.10+, Streamlit 1.56+, and an eligible Alien Intelligence account with access to the OpenAIRE MCP connector.

Licensing: software under EUPL-1.2; documentation and original media under CC BY 4.0.
