Vision Call

Vision Call is private chat and video calling that runs on your own computer or server. Your messages, calls and files stay on your network. There are no accounts to create with anyone else and no cloud service in the middle.

It ships as one small program. Install it on a machine in your office or home, and everyone on the same network (or VPN) opens it in a browser or in the Android app.

What you get

  • Chat: one-to-one and group conversations with read receipts, typing indicators, swipe to reply, reactions, edits, pinned and saved messages, search, and photo, video and file sharing with captions. Messages are end-to-end encrypted by default when you use the app over HTTPS.
  • Calls: one-to-one video calls that go straight between the two devices, and group calls for up to 8 people by default, with screen sharing, picture-in-picture, in-call chat, mute and camera controls, and host tools.
  • Rooms: named meeting rooms, optionally protected by a passcode or an approval step.
  • Presence: see who is online, away or in Do Not Disturb.
  • Admin tools: create, suspend and remove accounts, change server settings from the browser, read the audit log, and back up or restore the whole server.
  • Chat backup: a password-protected backup of your encryption key, so a new phone or browser can read your encrypted messages.
  • Works everywhere: any modern browser on a computer or phone, installable as an app, plus a native Android app.
