JSpark 1.1.0

@anandarizki anandarizki released this 03 Oct 12:09

A few fixes to JSpark+ after the 1.0 launch.

Improved

  • JSpark checks your License Key each time it starts, when you're online, so Settings → License is up to date with your purchase from the first minute.

Fixed

  • After you activate a License Key, Settings → License and About show JSpark+ straight away, instead of still asking for a key until something else changed.
  • The JSpark menu now says About JSpark, Hide JSpark and Quit JSpark, and the Help menu JSpark Website.

JSpark 1.0.0

JSpark 1.0: a playground for JavaScript and TypeScript on your Mac. Type code, press Run, and replay what it did, one step at a time. JSpark is free and doesn't expire; JSpark+ is an optional upgrade that lifts its limits. It runs on Macs with Apple silicon, macOS 13 Ventura or later.

Try first

  • Pick a Starter on the Home screen, such as Node.js, Web Page, React or Vue, and press Run: a small working demo is already there.
  • After running a Node.js Snippet, open the Timeline and step forwards and backwards through it, with every variable's value at each step.
  • Add //? to the end of a line to see its value drawn right in the code as a Peek.
  • Write a Web Snippet and watch its live page beside the editor update as you type.
  • Save a Snippet to the Library to keep it, with a title and tags.

JSpark+

  • Paste a License Key in Settings → License (JSpark menu → License…), or straight into the message a limit shows, and JSpark+ unlocks at once, with no restart.
  • Settings → License shows your plan and how many devices your key is for, and has Manage plan, Replace key… and Deactivate this device….
  • If a key ever stops working, JSpark goes back to the free edition and keeps everything you made.

Also in 1.0

  • JSpark keeps itself up to date: new versions download in the background and install the next time you quit (Settings → About → Automatic updates).
  • Environment variable values are encrypted with a key in your Keychain (Settings → Running).
  • The License Agreement, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are one click away in Settings → About.
