Stream v1.0.0
Stream v1.0.0
This is the full release of stream 1.0.0. Here we made several notable improvements from v1.0.0-alpha including:
- You no longer have to include type notations when setting a variable to another variable value, so you can now use
x = ywithout defining the type of x. - You no longer have to define a variable outside of the while loop. Now you can write
while var = if x:int == 2:int {}without definingvarbefore the loop.
With these features, there are stills several major issues we will still be addressing in our upcoming 1.1.0 release. You still need to define types in if statements and you cannot write logic like x = z + 1 without defining the type of x. As such we are currently moving to reduce the necessities of types and make the language less rigid.
However, this release is still significantly more advanced than the previous release and is approved for full usage, and has been thoroughly tested for bugs.
