Core v1.0.0-beta.1

LocalLM Lab 1.0.0-beta.1 — the macOS 27 release, in beta. Requires the macOS 27 beta on Apple Silicon; building the SDK against it needs the Xcode 27 beta. 1.0.0-beta.N makes no API-stability promise — signatures can move between betas.

This release carries the SDK binaries only. The app (LocalLM Lab.dmg) ships separately from ancientcomputing/locallm-releases — download it from https://thisbrain.ai/locallm/1.0.0-beta/. The CLI toolkit (localai-cli) is in toolkit/ on the 1.0.0-beta branch.

Each has a .sha256 sidecar. Link LocalLMLabSDKCore always; add LocalLMLabSDKInference (the MLX runtime, ~49 MB) only if you use MLXModelProvider. Both are binaryTargets keyed off a single LOCALLM_SDK_VERSION — see examples/code-buddy/Package.swift for the two-binary manifest shape.

Docs & examples

Everything is on the 1.0.0-beta branch:

• docs/sdk-guide.md — the full developer guide; §6a is the model layer.
• docs/migrating-to-1.0.md — 0.8.x → 1.0 (mostly additive; one enum-resilience compile caveat).
• docs/tested-models.md — which open-weight models tool-call, and why several don't.
• examples/ — eight runnable reference apps. For the model layer: repo-qa-local (smallest), code-buddy (full agent), workspace-buddy-local (sandboxed GUI).
