License and FAQ
DailyStreak is distributed under the DailyStreak Source-Available License (DSAL) v1.0, not a standard open-source license. In short:
- ✅ Free to use, self-host, and modify — including on commercial servers
- ✅ Free to fork and contribute back via pull requests
- ✅ Free to redistribute (original or modified), as long as the license travels with it
- ❌ Cannot be used on servers that sell streak-related advantages (resets, day skips, exclusive rewards), whether sold standalone or bundled into a rank/subscription/crate
- ❌ Cannot be resold, sublicensed, or bundled into a paid product without the author's permission

Yes, as long as the ranks don't grant any streak-related advantage (resets, skips, exclusive rewards, or reduced playtime requirements). Cosmetic-only ranks (chat prefixes, colors, etc.) are fine.

No — the license prohibits selling, sublicensing, or bundling the software (original or modified) into a paid product without the author's written permission.
DailyStreak targets the Paper API. It may work on other Paper-fork servers, but Spigot/Bukkit-only servers are not officially supported.
