Fixed

• Version history is kept per note: imported notes that share a creation date without a time no longer share one history, and locking one of them no longer clears the history of the others.
• App lock: in a rare case after rotating the screen, the next return to the app could skip the lock once; it now always asks.
• Includes every fix from 1.0.5, among them the crash when opening a note (1.0.2 to 1.0.4).

Fixed

• Opening an existing note could close the app (since 1.0.2).
• A drawing or export finished while the screen was rotated or the vault closed is no longer lost or empty.
• Notes whose file name starts with a dot are shown again; new titles starting with a dot are saved normally.
• Dates written by other apps (with milliseconds) are read and never removed from the file.
• Tapping a widget no longer closes an unsaved drawing.
• Sync conflict buttons and the note menu ignore taps while the note is still loading or already being resolved.
• Old reminders no longer ring again after a restart; missed ones from the last 24 hours still ring.
• The Tasks screen still shows everything when one note is removed during a refresh.
• Other apps can no longer make OmniNote open files outside your notes folder.

Improved

• Opening a note, checking for changes from sync, following [[note links]], choosing a notebook, picking a note to link and resolving sync conflicts now read the notes folder in the background, so the screen never freezes on a large or slow (synced) folder.
• The "title already used" check no longer blocks saving.
• Note widgets are redrawn in the background, and several quick saves cause one redraw.
• Tapping a widget goes back to the screen that is already open instead of stacking copies of it; an open note is saved first.

• Reminders ring on time (exact alarm), and reminders missed while the phone was off ring right after it starts.
• A reminder is no longer lost when notifications are turned off; setting a reminder on a new, unsaved note now works.
• Moving, restoring or changing many notes at once keeps their reminders, pinned notifications and widgets, and widgets update right away.
• One note that fails in a bulk action no longer stops the others.
• Swiping away a pinned note notification (Android 14) unpins it; notification text stays hidden on the lock screen.
• The notes list no longer piles up refreshes on slow folders, and the folder error is shown once instead of every 15 seconds.
• The eraser no longer clears redo when it erases nothing.

Fixed

• Notes with an empty front matter block (--- / ---) no longer crash the app; dates and yes/no values from other editors are read correctly.
• One unreadable file no longer hides the whole notes list; the list loads faster by reading only changed files.
• Notes are written safely (temporary file first), so a crash cannot leave a half-written note.
• App lock can no longer be skipped by rotating the screen.
• Setting up the vault again can no longer overwrite an existing vault and make locked notes unreadable.
• A locked note hides its text again when the vault closes while it is open; unlocking a note asks for the password; plain old versions are removed when a note gets locked.
• Restoring a version from history keeps the current text as a version, so it can be undone.
• The editor reloads a note that changed on disk (sync, widget) when nothing was edited.
• Images in the editor load in the background; very tall or huge images no longer freeze or crash the app.
• Long notes type smoothly (formatting is applied after a short pause).
• Links with any scheme (tel:, geo:, mailto:) open correctly; unsafe links are blocked, also in HTML/PDF export.
• The drawing screen keeps your drawing when dark mode, font size or language changes.
• No crash when the phone has no folder picker; crash dialog is translated.

• Undo and redo buttons in the editor (↶ ↷). Typing is grouped, so one tap undoes one stretch of typing. Toolbar actions and ticking checklist items can be undone too.
• Images and drawings now appear right inside the editor, not only in read mode. The note is still plain Markdown underneath.

• The drawing canvas (✎) closed straight away on some phones, including Huawei devices on Android 12.

Improved

• If OmniNote ever closes unexpectedly, the next launch shows the error with a Copy button so it can be included in a bug report. The report stays on your phone and is never sent anywhere.
• Drawings imported from a ZIP stay editable.
• Images from Scarlet Notes backups, which those backups do not contain, now leave a marker in the note so you can add them back.
