v0.4.0-alpha — fuller coverage and compliant-pad seats

Physically unvalidated prototype / work in progress. The opening has been
checked digitally, not tested on a printed cover or real AirPods. Do not treat
the release as frictionless, self-retaining, load-rated or production-ready.

Changes from v03

  • Fuller rear body/lid wrapping with shaped hinge-motion relief.
  • Bounded front window and separate USB-C / ANC-speaker openings.
  • Five seats for separately supplied soft retention pads: two body sides,
two lid sides and one roof. Bare rigid shells remain unretained.
  • Initial 0.80 mm soft-foam trial thickness; final thickness, compression,
finish compatibility and any removable roof adhesive need physical testing.
  • Preserved Clawd silhouette, rear pixel branding, diagonal 4 mm keyring bore
    and outer dimensions.

Checks and files

  • Both printable meshes are watertight single components with positive volume.
  • 116 sampled hinge poses from 0–115° pass the calibrated-surrogate collision
screen, including illustrative seated pads. This does not simulate friction.
  • A clean build from the included credited references reproduces both STLs
    byte-for-byte with Blender 5.2.1 LTS.
  • Source ZIP includes the sanitized editable Blender model, build tools,
parameters, renders, digital QA and older v03 artifacts. Restricted donor
meshes and private workspace material are excluded.
  • Print one body and one lid, either the two STLs or the two-object 3MF,
at 100% scale in millimetres. Pads and ring are separate hardware, not prints.
  • Read docs/PRINTING.md and docs/QUALIFICATION.md before ordering.
