Play store vs apk version for faster AA startup? #666
|
Hey dev, Could you please let me know which of the two versions is generally recommended for quicker pairing/starting Android Auto. I am currently donning the apk version from this repo and it takes roughly 10-15 secs to start AA. I've also bought the play store version but haven't tried that yet. I feel I might screw up the current setup if I fiddle around too much. PS: I've set the base configuration to Phone Hotspot (on both the wireless helper and headunit - apk version). I tried the Google nearby mode once (apk version) but it kept connecting and never really worked. |

They are nearly the same. Playstore disallows Android < 5. So I need to set the min version to Android 5 and Playstore Disallows the FakeVPN for offline usage. Thats all. No difference in pairing or wifi. |
As I said, there is no difference in that things. If it is the same Device you are testing, maybe remove all caches and data and from your phone the BT connection.
