Strange App Behaviour On Tablet In Self Mode

I am running HUR on a samsung tablet which has been working fine. Am on Android Auto 17.4 and with the posted workaround everything was great.

As of 2 days ago AA no longer shows the speed limit and the actual speed being travelled anymore.

Also the button that is used for pointing out a hazard has also gone.

I tested the tablet on my wifes car and once connected has none of the problems above so that rules out the tablet just leaving an issue somewhere with the app. Any help would be appreciated.

So in selfmode it is not showing these things and in projection mode it shows it on the screen of the car? Have you maybe changed resolution or something on your tablet?

Yes thats spot on. Works perfectly on car but not in self mode on tablet.

I have not changed my DPI since the day I set it up. I have tried everything from 190 through to 230 and makes no deifference.

The speed does show up for about 10 seconds then just disappears. The hazard icon is simply just not there but the other icons that it normally sits alongside are there.

And it worked before? Can you check in the settings, if you have fake speed enabled? This is for spotify scrolling or video playback to work, because AA thinks the car is not moving. Maybe this will hide the icons. And resolution and dpi together can make such things disappear too. Maybe AA 17.4 has other settings and thinks your screen is too small and hides it. For me on 17.4 everything shows up.

Hello Andre. I managed to try it on a different tablet with a fresh install. This tablet shows the missing hazard button and also the speed limit but not the actual speed. This was achieved by setting the DPI to 190 although it used to work fine at 230 but not any more which is strange lol..

The last small issue I am dealing with is while navigating the location arrow is very jumpy and laggy while driving. Again does not happen when tablet is connected to the cars headunit. I'm hoping it's just a setting or something i'm missing.
