• linux: .flatpak (flatpak install cathode-*.flatpak), .deb (Debian 13+, Ubuntu 25.04+), .rpm (Fedora, needs RPM Fusion for mpv-libs), .AppImage (needs FUSE; run with --appimage-extract-and-run otherwise, and glibc 2.41+), or .tar.gz (requires system GTK4 4.10+/libadwaita 1.7+/libmpv).
• macos: Apple Silicon (arm64) only, unsigned — first launch: right-click > Open, or xattr -d com.apple.quarantine cathode.app.
• windows: extract, run cathode.bat.
  yt-dlp is managed by the app at runtime, not bundled.
