What’s new

Add current panel to dashboard

Screenshot 2026-08-25 at 16 14 01

The graphs in the currently active Advanced History panel can now be exported directly to a Home Assistant dashboard.

  • Uses Home Assistant’s native Add to dashboard flow.
  • Supports any editable Home Assistant dashboard and view.
  • Exports standard custom:statistics-graph-chart-card configurations.
  • Exports numeric and state-history graphs together.
  • Preserves resolved entities, attributes, entity options, colours, axes, comparisons, grouping, and graph settings.
  • Creates independent snapshots with no live link back to Advanced History.
  • Enables the Statistics Graph Chart Card’s internal date picker.
  • Synchronizes the date pickers when multiple graphs are exported together.
  • Preserves a suitable initial date-picker mode based on the active period.
  • Keeps exported cards editable through the Statistics Graph Chart Card visual editor.
  • Provides copyable YAML if Home Assistant’s native placement dialog is unavailable.

Deselected entities

The export dialog includes a Hide entities on load option when the panel contains deselected entities.

When enabled, those entities remain available and dimmed in the legend but are hidden from the graph when the card initially loads.

Layout and colours

  • Advanced History charts now use more of the available panel width.
  • Automatic colours remain distinct across Y1, Y2, and comparison series.
  • Multiple secondary-axis entities receive distinct colours.
  • The dashboard export preview uses more available width.

Fixes

  • Fixed the Compare option appearing selected after switching to a panel where comparison was disabled.
  • Fixed object-based comparison colour configurations.
  • Fixed repeated colours between primary-axis, secondary-axis, and comparison series.
  • Improved the dashboard export dialog title.
