Release list
Perseid v0.2.0
Highlights
- Persistent projects: Create, open, save, and copy
.perseidproject files. Projects retain captured HTTP and WebSocket history along with scope, proxy settings, and workbench state. Temporary projects have bounded retention and safer save/open transitions. - Search captured traffic: Search HTTP request and response heads and decoded bodies, with case-sensitive, regex, negative, in-scope, and dynamic-update options. Inspect matches in Pretty, Raw, or Hex views.
- New analysis workflows: Use Sequencer for token-randomness analysis, browse captured hosts and paths in the Target site map, and copy captured requests as cURL commands.
- Workbench improvements: Persist more tool state across project saves, including Inspector notes, Repeater responses, Intruder results, Decoder and Comparer state, Search, and Sequencer.
Downloads
Windows x64/ARM64 MSI installers and portable ZIPs; a universal macOS DMG; and Linux x86-64/ARM64 AppImage and DEB packages. Windows packages are unsigned. The macOS app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized.

Perseid v0.1.0
First release: Perseid 0.1.0
Perseid is a Rust-native desktop workbench for manual HTTP(S) security testing. This first release provides:
- An HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 proxy with traffic history and a site map.
- HTTPS interception with a local CA, manual trust setup, and per-host TLS pass-through. The CA is not installed into the OS or browser automatically.
- Intercept, Repeater, Intruder, Decoder, and Comparer workflows, plus scope and match/replace controls.
- WebSocket frame capture and inspection for
ws://and decryptedwss://traffic.
Perseid is an early alpha, not an automated scanner. WebSocket editing/replay and persistent projects are not included; some history and tool state is kept in memory. Use only on systems you own or are authorized to test.
Platform notes: Windows packages are unsigned. The universal macOS DMG is ad-hoc signed but not notarized, so Windows or macOS may show security warnings. Linux packages require compatible desktop and graphics libraries.
