Azure OpenAI Responses API Support

  • GPT-5.4 Pro now works — auto-fallback from Chat Completions to Responses API
  • Upgraded openai SDK from v4.77.0 to v6.32.0
  • Separate AzureOpenAI client with apiVersion: 2025-04-01-preview for Responses API
  • Transparent fallback: users don't need to configure anything

How It Works

When a model doesn't support Chat Completions (like GPT-5.4 Pro), the extension automatically retries with the Responses API using the correct api-version. No user action required.
