Description

It seems that there was a change to hunger and spoilage rates in 1.21.6. I run a custom world as a part of my Vintage Story video series on Youtube. I had created a custom world back in the 1.20.x timeframe and I have been playing and recording episodes in there ever since.

I had set the spoilage and hunger rates to 75% of normal and everything was fine until I upgraded to 1.21.6. At that point, it appeared that the rates had been bumped up a bit... my guess is that they were reset to the default rates.

Note: I checked the release logs and I did not see anything where the base rate was changed, so I am assuming that something has blown away or modified the custom settings in my world.

How to reproduce

  1. Start a custom world in the 1.20.x vintage.
  2. Set hunger and spoilage rates to 75%
  3. Play in the world for a bit. To be true to my case, play the game, upgrade to the next update... lather, rinse and repeat all the way to V 1.21.6.
  4. Check the spoilage and hunger rates after each update.
