v2.5.0
DataGrid scrolling for larger Angular data workflows, available under the existing MIT license.
Added
- Fixed-height row virtualization for local arrays and application-managed remote windows.
- Debounced
virtualRangeChangerequests, retry support and custom loading-cell templates. - Virtual grouping with complete local or server-provided trees, group expansion APIs and fixed-height details.
- Conditional viewport height, endless-scroll notifications and navigation by row, column or loaded item.
- Logical row indexes and keyboard focus restoration across local and remote windows.
Compatibility and fixes
- Existing boolean
scrollablebindings remain compatible; named scroll modes are now available. - Non-scrollable mode places headers and rows in the same table.
- Search inputs notify remote consumers without accumulating duplicate subscriptions.
- Patched development dependencies. No new runtime dependencies; Angular 21/22 peer support is unchanged.
Usage and limits
See SCROLLING.md for APIs and examples. Remote fetching, cancellation and caching remain application-owned. Remote grouped results require the complete tree. Variable-height rows and column virtualization are not included; incompatible editing and row-layout configurations use regular rendering with a visible explanation.
Validation
524 library tests, library lint/build and package verification passed. Both dependency audits report zero advisories. Production Chrome checks verified SSR/hydration and scrolling workflows, and loaded 87 prerendered docs pages without browser errors.
