models go into extended thinking on simple prompts (even free/non-reasoning models)

Description

When using OpenCode Web (v1.17.13), models enter lengthy thinking/reasoning mode even for trivial prompts like "hello". This happens even with free/non-reasoning models (mimo-v2.5-free, north-mini-code-free), not just reasoning-capable ones like DeepSeek V4 Pro.

None — no npm plugins configured. Only the GSD (Get Shit Done) workflow suite: 33 custom agents and 12 custom skills installed locally.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start opencode web
2. Select any model (free or paid)
3. Send a simple greeting like "hello"
4. Model enters extended thinking — spinning for seconds on a trivial prompt
