Description

latest version removed option to plan/build. Sometime if i tell it to Plan and don't make changes it does. Other times it just does it thing.

open opencode in desktop version,
Go to prompt area.
Plan/Build option isn't there anymore

These all describe the Plan/Build toggle disappearing in the v1.18.x desktop app redesign. If your issue is the same, consider adding a thumbs-up reaction to one of those instead of filing a separate report.

Found how to get the build/plan to work on desktop ui.

1. At the top, navigate to the Home tab.
2. Go to Settings.
3. On "General" tab scroll down to "Advanced" (note, I had to use my mouse, in order to scroll)
4. Go to "Show Agent" and turn it on.
5. Go back into the ui and see if you now see the build/plan option.

That worked in previous v1.18.x, releases but the latest v1.18.4, togging the "Show Agent" doesn't reveal the agent selector.

hmm, I haven't had any updates since my 1.18.0 release. wonder why you are 4 ahead of me?

gavinharkness, not sure why I wasn't getting the updates. Went into General and updated to 1.18.4. two things that I noticed. It updated and in general it is showing the "Show Agent" selector for me. Also, the ui is showing the build/plan mode. I am running on windows 11 if that helps.

I've just rebooted the machine and re-installed as an administrator. Had to wait perhaps 10-15 seconds after the app loaded, before the agent selector rendered. Perhaps I wasn't waiting long enough all this time...

And now the model changes when you change the agent.

Glad it is working for you. It was a true pain when this feature wasn't available.

I have it enabled, but (plan, build) only appears if I go to settings, turn it off, and then turn it back on.
